Arco Iris es una casa de acogida de niños desde 1993. Desde hace más de veinte años en este lugar se cuida y educa a niños que vienen de diferentes realidades y tienen unas condiciones e historia que no les permite vivir de forma digna. En Arco Iris todos tienen la posibilidad de cambiar su futuro, de ser felices y de poder crecer en un ambiente saludable.
Desafortunadamente la parte económica juega un papel importante en la vida de Arco Iris y por desgracia las ayudas están llegando a su fin. Arco Iris no quiere cerrar la puerta y dejar sin oportunidades a todos los niños que tienen ahà su hogar.

This time in Arco Iris were the most intens months of my life. The children have a unique way to make other people happy. I've lived the experience and gained so much. Also to live actually at Arco Iris with the children, being part of their life, joining them with their daily program is just great.

As a master student psychology I did my internship in Iquitos while living and in Arco Iris. This was an unforgettable experience. I feel that I have learned here more than 4 years at university. This children's home has something unique, it has the power to make you feel at home while being at the other end of the world.
I will definitely come back one day!
Latest projects
​Holiday educational program:
For the first time in its history, Arco Iris organized a summer course for over sixty children.
In the mornings the children attended extra lessons about the same subjects as in school. Foreign guest teachers offered an English language program.
The afternoon classes were designated to stimulate cultural activities such as dancing and on the other hand to support the creative part of the brain with classes of art.
